Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the US and Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation as well as a SportsCenter anchor. Since 2016, Collins has joined ESPN. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta was bilingual since when she was nine years old. This ability that allowed her to get her first position as an Univision production assistant in Miami. She collaborated with producers for National shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then it was announced that the CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. In 2009, she relocated away from Texas into Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting at KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009 she made the move to Rio Grande Valley in Texas in which she was a journalist for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. The duties of anchoring for weather or sports were often asked for. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate where she took on other duties. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS as well as the World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. It was during a holiday in the summer that she lived with her younger sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered the job. Antonietta is a senior in high school but she had a clear idea of the path she wanted. While deciding if Mount Union is the right choice for her, Antonietta decided to go visit the school. In the end, she fell in love with the school. The university offered her major. Following the completion of the requirements for high school, she attended the University to pursue media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the manager of WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a member. He was the one who boosted her faith and confidence, as well as whose enthusiasm for Journalism deeply touched her. She was determined to exceed his expectations always delivering on time.
