After fleeing her home country, her family moved into in the US. The family was given asylum in the US and permitted to stay. She is a middle-sister of two sisters and was brought up to a young age in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career on the television industry by appearing on several National Commercials. Ghanizada starred as Chiara in the Laura Neri's film A Kiss on the Nose (2003). For this performance, she won during the Festival of Cannes for the Best Actress Award. She was also an actress in numerous television shows, like How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars Wedding Bells Num3RS Bones Psych & Castle. Recent roles included the science fiction-action movie Blood Shot (2009) and the comedies that are independent You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her career in 2008 when she was a part of the crew of The General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of Night Shift featured Ghanizada as Doctor.
